Hi folks. It’s been a while since my last update here. I am not going to spend time making bunch of excuses as to why. Anyways, it looks like I’ll soon have to spend some time with WP Vault again, so that is my intention. A couple of priority for the next version:
One of the thing I really like about Linux is Compiz. I think anyone who used Linux system knows what Compiz does, but for those who are still in Windows world, it’s a window manager that utilizes OpenGL for 3D and other neat effects.
WP Vault version 0.8.6.6 is now available. This is yet another bug fix release. Please see the change log for the bug fix that was applied for this version. If you already installed 0.8.6, you can simply write over the WP Vault files, without disabling/enabling the WP Vault plugin. If you still have the older version, please take the usual steps for upgrading. You can get it at the download page. Maybe some of you have noticed that there haven’t been any updates to WP Vault (or maybe no one noticed). No, I have not abandoned the development of the plug in. However, another project of mine has been taking the most of free time. I have been migrating to Linux from Windows.

It is far from perfect, and there are quite a bit that I want to do yet, but I think it’s at fairly stable and useful state. And it’s good to know that people are downloading the software here and there, but I honestly don’t know if those who download it find it useful or not. If you have a WordPress site where you have successfully implemented WP Vault, I would like to know about it. You can send the link to wpvault@y-zone.net. Once I personally verify that you have indeed implemented the plugin, I’ll list your blog site. Maybe this’ll help improving the rank in search engines just a little… To be listed, the the submitted site must have WP Vault implemented successfully, and those of us without accounts at your blog must be able to see it. The site may be of any language. If you decide not to use WP Vault at some point, I may remove the link to your site from the listing. You do NOT have to link back to this site. You can choose to do so, but it’s not required. And also, I’ll not list any pornographic site or any site that includes offensive content, judged by me. WP Vault version 0.8.6.2 is now available. Just a few hours after the release of WP Vault 0.8.6, I’ve noticed some annoying bug in it. So now version 0.8.6.1 is released, which fix that problem.
